Open Mic Night & Poetry Book Launch
The Alive Poets Society presents...
An evening of poetry, music, laughter, storytelling and all the beautiful things that happen when we come together to create.
Adorned in flowers, fairy lights and the warmth of community connection, we invite you to celebrate the launch of Bella Abraham's debut poetry collection, Would You Still Like Flowers If They Never Died?
A book ten years in the making.
This evening is more than a book launch. It is a love letter to the arts, to the people, places and experiences that have shaped Bella's life, and to the many forms of creative expression that have held, inspired and carried her throughout the last decade.
Poetry has never existed in isolation. It has danced alongside music, theatre, comedy, storytelling, movement, friendship, heartbreak, love and all the wonderfully messy experiences of being human.
This night is an ode to it all.
Throughout the evening, Bella will share excerpts from her debut collection, celebrating the journey of bringing these words into the world.
And in honour of the many art forms that have shaped this book, the evening will open its stage to the community.
