Internationally acclaimed Australian-born vocalist Andy James (vocals) returns home backed by an extraordinary ensemble featuring Jon Cowherd (piano), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), James Genus (bass), Piero Pata - (palmas & jaleo) and Canito(flamenco guitar). Raised on the music of Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, and Ella Fitzgerald, Andy has earned international acclaim for her soulful voice and romantic, Latin- and flamenco-influenced jazz style. ABOUT ANDY AND HER BAND

Internationally acclaimed Australian-born vocalist Andy James returns home to Australia for a special tour, joined by a world-class ensemble of genre-defining musicians.

Raised on the timeless sounds of Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, and Ella Fitzgerald, Andy James has built an international reputation for her soulful voice, captivating stage presence, and contemporary approach to swing. Her heartfelt songwriting and elegant interpretations have established her as one of today's most compelling jazz vocalists.

Joining Andy on piano is Jon Cowherd, the Kentucky-born, New Orleans-trained pianist, composer, and producer best known as the co-founder of the Grammy-nominated Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band. A longtime collaborator and co-writer with Andy, Cowherd's deeply expressive harmonic language has also shaped recordings and performances with Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, Brandi Carlile, Cassandra Wilson, and many of today's most celebrated artists.

On drums is legendary percussionist Vinnie Colaiuta, making his long-awaited return to live performance. Widely regarded as one of the greatest drummers of all time, Colaiuta is a fifteen-time Modern Drummer "Drummer of the Year" whose extraordinary career spans Frank Zappa, Sting, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, Chick Corea, and countless others. His unmatched versatility, technical brilliance, and musical sensitivity have made him one of the most sought-after drummers in the world.

Completing the rhythm section is acclaimed bassist James Genus, whose mastery of both upright and electric bass has made him one of the premier voices in modern jazz. Best known as the longtime bassist for the Saturday Night Live Band, Genus has also performed and recorded with Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, and an extraordinary list of jazz, pop, and R&B artists, earning a reputation as one of the finest session musicians of his generation.

Together, along side Piero Pata and Canito this remarkable ensemble brings decades of Grammy-winning artistry and musical excellence to the stage, creating the perfect backdrop for Andy James' signature blend of latin romance, swing, and soulful storytelling.
