South London artist Greentea Peng brings her psychedelic blend of neo-soul, dub, jazz and hip-hop to Australia. Her music is shaped by self-inquiry and emotional dualities, combining weighty narration, sparse arrangements, dubby textures and an earthy soulful voice. The programme traces her path from joining a band while travelling in Mexico to releasing the 2018 EP Sensi, followed by the 2021 debut album MAN MADE. Her recent album TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY continues her themes of self-witnessing, affirmation and radical self-acceptance; its material includes the atmospheric “BALI SKIT PT. 1” and “RAW,” which incorporates voice notes.
