Part of Randwick City Council's Town Hall Takeover.

Play Club is a monthly play reading group hosted by Margaret Thanos and Jess Zlotnick. Normally hosted at Belvoir St Theatre, they’re bringing Play Club to the Town Hall and will be serving up two low-fi but high energy readings of piping hot new Australian works.

Play Club takes over the Town Hall for the following two evenings;

Saturday 31 October, 7pm to 9pm

Thursday 28 January, 7pm to 9pm

About the Artists

Margaret Thanos is an award-winning Cypriot- Australian director for the stage and screen. Most recently Margaret directed A MIRROR at Belvoir St and THE RIVER at the Sydney Opera House for Sydney Theatre Company. Jess Zlotnick is an author, playwright, and screenwriter. She advocates for de-stigmatising female desire, unabashed romanticism, and the empathetic power of storytelling in all its forms.

Access

Randwick Town Hall is located on the ground floor at 90 Avoca Street, Randwick.

The main entrance is via double doors located on Frances Street. From this entrance there are 8 steps with handrails to reach the hall.

There is a wheelchair accessible entry via the carpark on Avoca Street. There is an accessible car park located on Frances Street.
